Assessment and Treatment Planning. 

Based upon the results of the 30-day assessment, a treatment plan is developed. A

treatment plan meeting or case conference is held every 3 months for the purpose of

evaluating progress and updating the treatment plan.

Individual Psychotherapy.

Each boy is seen in individual therapy at least once per week. Sessions might

include talk, art, and play therapy activities, as clinically appropriate.

Group Work. Clinical experience has found that group work is a central component in the effective treatment of many problems experienced by the boys residing at Pine Haven. A series of time-limited groups are offered. Children may participate in more than one group per week depending on their treatment goals, when clinically appropriate.

Independent Living Preparation. 

Residents are provided with Independent Living Preparation training and counseling.

Family Services.  Family therapy includes parenting groups, behavior management, limit setting, sibling therapy, supervised visits. Psychiatric Services.  A Psychiatrist assists in the delivery of treatment services, evaluates the boys' psychiatric needs, prescribes and monitors psychotropic medications, and monitors staff training in medication administration.
